The Legend of Lil Pump

Standing at five foot seven, this seventeen year old, Gazzy Garcia, is shaking the Hip-Hop scene one phrase & theme song at a time.

Originating from South Florida and of Mexican descent, Gazzy Garcia (also known as Lil Pump) has gained a large following on his SoundCloud, Instagram, and Twitter accounts.

When his debut album “Lil Pump” dropped, he was able to attain features from the heads of Hip-Hop such as Lil Yachty, Gucci Mane, Chief Keef, 2 Chainz, and Rick Ross.

One of those songs, “Gucci Gang,” has hit the 7th spot on The Billboard Top 100. In fact, “Gucci Gang” is the shortest song to be a Billboard Top 10 song in over 40 years.

Lil Pump has brung a new type of style to the rap game scene, although many people are quite annoyed with his talents. His catchy, short verse songs have become popular  vernacular for teenagers all across the U.S, causing many people to roll their eyes when they hear a Lil Pump phrase. Some of his catchy terms range from ‘Eskeetit’ (Let’s get it) all the way to ‘D Rose’ (Referencing the NBA player, Derrick Rose).

Beginning his rap career at the tail end of 2015, Gazzy started off by rapping into a headset microphone. Soon thereafter in 2016, Pump released a barrage of  four singles which have now amassed at least three million streams on SoundCloud. In 2017, at sixteen years of age, Gazzy signed a record deal with Tha Lights Global and Warner Bros. Records.

Once Lil Pump turned seventeen, he released his first album. With acclaimed hits “Flex Like Ouu” and “Iced Out, featuring 2 Chainz,” many of his followers believe that Gazzy Lil Pump Garcia will become the face of Hip-Hop before he turns twenty.
